The first Campbell
Memorial High School Alumni Association Banquet will be held Saturday, May 5,
beginning at 7 p.m. at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church Hall on Robinson
Road in Campbell.
Guest speaker will be David Yeropoli, D.O., of Warren, a 1966 Campbell Memorial
High School graduate, who recently returned from his third tour of duty in the
Iraq war.
Dr. Yeropoli, also a 1972 graduate of Youngstown State University and a 1985
graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, is a colonel in the
Ohio Army National Guard, Medical Corps, and a Battalion Surgeon for the 1-145th
Armor Battalion.
He is affiliated with the Department of Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in
Cleveland, and currently employed by the Department of Veteran's Affairs,
Department of Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Brecksville.
Dr. Yeropoli did his internship and residency at Warren General Hospital, where
he later served as an emergency room physician. He also has been in private
general practice.
Besides his three tours of duty in Iraq, Dr. Yeropoli also has had military
deployment in El Salvador, Ecuador, Paraguay, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria,
Jordan, and Afghanistan, and has won a host of military awards.
Dr. Yeropoli recently became a Founding Trustee of the Campbell Memorial High
School Alumni Association, which was launched on Jan. 10 of this year.
The Association will seek to raise funds to provide scholarships for graduates
and to develop projects designed to benefit Memorial High, the Campbell school
system, the community and the alumni.
Alumni are encouraged to attend the banquet and help the association raise funds
to maintain its alumni office and for other worthwhile projects.
Music and entertainment also will be provided.
